I'm very sensitive to MSG and I didn't get or feel sick when I ate there.
By definion Pho is beef.

Most authentic and delicious Vietnamese food in town!
The best Grilled beef short rib, shrimps and egg.
Best pho tasted since moving from Portland. The serving staff was attentive but not intrusive. Prices were very reasonable. A must add to favorite food places.
Wow, really hit the spot! Great food, good prices and generous portion. Ordered though UberEats. If you're looking for a solid Vietnamese fix this is the spot!
My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Salem.
Delicious food and great service. I've been coming here for years and I've never had a bad experience.
Sorry, were hungry enough to start eating and not enough time to snap our ordered dishes before they got “torn up”. Kids loved the food, wife and I as Pho lovers approve it here as well. Portions aren’t huge, but I believe that’s perfect to keep one from overeating, considering that we did it even finish ours. Sunday night they were full of clients, to me it just means that this is a proper place with good eats! If you want 5 star everything, go to a brand new construction spot with fresh paint and new toilet fixtures, this is a good neighborhood spot, seems to be served by owners themselves!
I've been coming here since they opened in 19 x x and it's still one of my favorite places to eat in Salem.
I like the pho soup. The bobas not very good. The salad rolls too expensive. Probably would not eat there again. The customer service was great.
This is a decent place with a handful of vegetarian options. We had the crispy veggie rolls. They were tasty and came with a pretty standard sauce. For our meals we had Spicy Tofu with Lemongrass and Tofu with Mixed Vegetables. Both were good, but the sauce on the Spicy Tofu was amazing - it has peanuts, though, which weren't listed in the description. It was fine for us, but wouldn't be for everyone. The rice seemed as though it had been sitting for a while - a little hard and not easy to break apart with chopsticks.Chopsticks are available, but you may have to ask for them. Same with hot tea. They prefer that you order by number, not by the name of the dish. They brought fortune cookies with the bill.
The Pho was great and the service was speedy. I got my order to go and loved the way way they separated all the Pho ingredients.
Why not? Delicious broth, reasonable drink prices and we loved the appetizer special for the day we went... We "parked" at a table and had 2 hours of great service plus a blast eating our delicious dinner. Our tab was one of the easiest to pay because it was all worth it!
Great place for lunch of pho or shared small plates!
Amazing food...We live the BBQ pork & fried rice with fish sauce.
The food here is always delicious and the have literally the best egg rolls of amy restaurant I've ever been to.
Excellent service. The food is amazing! Pleasant, peaceful environment. I highly suggest grabbing a meal here! There was a wasteful patron. Please do not waste food.
The staff are friendly, it's a cozy place, and their food is extravagant.
Love this place! My go-to pho place in Salem. The service is good, and the food is delicious. Lots of options, and generous portion sizes. I usually get the mixed need special, but it's all good. The spring rolls are also especially delicious. Parking can be a challenge, but it's so worth the hassle.
I ordered Pho #1 - the house special. They serve complimentary hot tea and a good amount of sprouts/limes/jalapenos. The broth to noodle/meat ratio was good and the broth tasty. Overall, pretty solid eats. I would have given this place 4-stars but no one checked in on me. Additionally, they were cleaning the tables with Windex straight from the bottle. #overspray
First visit, will certainly be back. Great service, fresh clean decor, and most especially, such delicious food!
My absolute favourite place in Salem for Phô and Salt and Pepper Squid. And the family that runs this place are the kindest, most hospitable people. Always a lovely experience when we come. 😍🍜👌
Service aside, the food was really good. I wanted to order a more robust dish, but too many came with squid in them. I ended up with shrimp over rice vermicelli, which came with these great marinated carrots and a dish of fish sauce. My beau ordered a dish with squid, and I liked the sauce, but I wouldn't venture near the chewy meat. We also ordered spring rolls, which were really, really good.
Very clean and fresh.
Super nice place run by super nice people. Also delicious pho.
Very good vegan options, amazing customer service with a homely feeling. Prices are very reasonable. One of the workers or owners helped my daughter learn how to use chopsticks. Checked on us a few times during our meal. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Chicken is fresh! Broth isn't too salty. I don't think any MSG was used in my pho. Top notch restaurant.
This is nice place with decent food. Unfortunately the silverware was served to us dirty.
Very quick and friendly service. More than 100 choices on the menu.
Great food, good prices, fast service! We love coming here!
The best beef noodle soup, the best vegan pho and the best Grilled beef short ribs ...I love it!
The Pho is fantastic, have been going to this place for several years now and they do the best Pho in town.
Great food and service. The waitress got us all of the to-go containers, packed up all of our leftovers an put them in the bag nicely, than secured the bag for us so nothing would Fall out. Then brought us or fortune cookies smiling the whole time.
Great place to get your pho fix. Generous portions of meat and noodles with a full body broth. We also ordered a couple of Vietnamese sandwiches to go but weren't that excited about the bread so won't be trying them again. We would recommend this place as it is a short jot off the highway and good value.
Been eating here for years and the food taste just as good. The pho is very delicious perfect for cold weather or anytime you’re in the mood for a good soup, the roasted chicken is also a great dish they serve. It comes with rice and some sauces. The spring rolls are a great appetizer they’re good in size and the peanut sauce that it comes with it good too.
5 stars just isn't enough! This is the BEST pho around! Being vegan we have had a hard time finding pho that will work for us. Kim Huongs has gone above and beyond. We typically visit once a week because the food is amazing and the people there are equally as AMAZING! It definitely feels family oriented.
Delicious food. Service was ok. I recommend the Bun Bo Hue and the lotus root salad.
Was the second place we tried for Pho since moving up here. We were impressed pho was good and the Pho mi was the best I've ever had. Had a good set up for picking up food for the Covid 19 thing. We will have it again soon. I highly recommended this place.
I have eaten here many times over a couple of decades, and while the menu has changed some, and prices have crept up some, the food is always outstanding. The vegetables are always fresh and crisp, the sauces are always mouth-watering good, and every dish is just right. This is a family owned and operated place where the family clearlr cares about getting it right. I have eaten at Vietnamese restaurants around the US, especially the DC area, in Europe, especially around Cologne, and while I have eaten at some other good places, and I have eaten at some way more expensive Vietnamese places, I have never eaten at one I would say is better than Kim Huong in Salem. Always plenty of room to park, and one can easily get a good meal and not be late getting back from lunch.
The food here is always good. The portions are large. The flavors authentic.
Great place to eat! However, the broth had a little to much salt, but outstanding food. Excellent service, peaceful, and very helpful.
I am so glad this place exists in Salem. This family-run Vietnamese hole-in-a-wall restaurant offers authentic Vietnamese dishes. The way they season their grilled pork really takes me back to my childhood days growing up in Vietnam. Their phở broth is clear and not too fatty nor salty. Pictures here are Bánh hỏi (fine vermicelli) and Phở. I love how much side vegetables that come with each order. Their prices are very affordable as well and I love hearing the family speak to each other in Vietnamese.I have brought out of town visitors here and everyone loved the food. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
This place was very authentic. The pho has cartilage which surprised me a little because I ordered without reading the menu carefully. They were really friendly and the food was comforting and tasty
Pho was unbelievably amazing. So was the curry and salad rolls with shrimp. Not to mention the peanut sauce was out of this world good. Sad I was happening to pass through and dont live close by. I highly recommend. Hope to be able to return. Service was excellent and informative even though we came in close to closing. Thank you Kim Huong!
Showed up here 40 minutes to closing on a Friday and this place was busy. That's the sign of good food. We ordered and got the food pretty quick. Very enjoyable I would highly recommend.
Good and fresh! I got 27 egg roll and pork!
Me and my daughter love this place. The staff are friendly, kind, and sweet. The food is amazing and a good size. Can’t wait to go back to this restaurant!!!
So disappointed... I've had various kind of noodle soup from Kim Huong and until today, they were very good. Today, I suggested it for lunch with a coworker who'd never eaten there before. I ordered to-go and brought it back to our office. She ended up finding a hair in her soup. She still ate it, but now I feel cruddy because I suggested the place. Not cool, but not the worst thing in the world to me. Stuff happens. Fast forward to me nearing the end of my soup when I find a hair all my very own... once is unfortunate, twice in one order is gross. Lost some business, I'm afraid.
I'm not an expert on Vietnamese cuisine, so I really can't comment on the authenticity of Kim Huong's menu, but I will say that it has consistently been the best pho I've had in Oregon. The portions are generous, the herbs and vegetables taste extremely fresh, and the soups are flavorful and full of noodles and meats. Their beef pho with all the beef choices (meatballs, beef cheek, thin sliced beef, and others) feels like a tribute to the versatility of beef, with a variety of textures that major carnivores will find downright exciting. We've had the pho ga (chicken noodle pho! It's great when you're feeling under the weather), some fabulous steamed buns, several stir fries and noodles dishes that have consistently great, and the special spicy beef and pork soup that I adored, but my partner didn't care for. The banh mi sandwich was good, but the pork belly was a little uninteresting as a protein choice, I'd try something else next time.
Food is so good. I usually just order pho. But all of their food is so good! Also if you order pho to go, the way they send it out is amazing. ..definitely reccomend
BEST PHO in Salem/Keizer. They always serve a lot for a decent price.Thank you so much!
